Doctoral Consortium

ACM AI Summit Doctoral Consortium

The ACM AI Summit Doctoral Consortium provides a dedicated forum for PhD students to engage with researchers, practitioners, and policymakers at a formative stage of their careers. The program is designed to help doctoral students broaden their perspective beyond individual research problems and situate their work within the evolving technical, ethical, and societal landscape of AI. Through invited talks and interactive discussions, participants will gain insight into emerging AI frontiers, responsible innovation, and the real-world impact of AI systems. The program combines visionary perspectives with practical guidance, featuring keynote talks from senior leaders, panels on navigating the PhD journey and AI careers, and interactive discussions on open research challenges. Emphasis is placed on candid dialogue, mentorship, and peer interaction, enabling students to reflect on research direction, career pathways, and professional responsibility. By convening a small, highly engaged cohort, the Doctoral Consortium fosters community building and prepares participants to actively contribute to—and lead—the broader conversations of the ACM AI Summit.
